Just how important is our environment actually? The answer is really not that difficult. We only need to ask ourselves what nature, in its current form, can give to us.
A human-friendly climate allows us to live in more or less good “weather conditions”. Not too hot, not too cold. Mild storms, no destructive mega hurricanes or cyclones. Enough rain, but not too much.
We get air that is enriched with oxygen. Humans need oxygen. Oxygen is produced by plants and distributed in the air through global wind systems.
Nature provides us with the food we need. Vegetables, live stock, fish and also potable water.
Nature is the basis of life. We cannot exist without a human-friendly environment. This is a fact we need to acknowledge.
